I assume that the chokes are the reason for this - rail voltage is rock solid, because current is available in buckets/hogs-heads/barrels. And it's not coarse, roaring or snarling power - it's as smooth as glass, always. Power is simply available, at all times, in all ranges. Vidar is one of the best amps that I've ever owned, and makes great music as a stereo amp. In my experience with Schiit amps, the Aegir is a special creature that is closer to a quite-powerful tube amp in performance and SQ than Vidar or Tyr, so I'll exclude it here. (R.I.P to BMW's 6.6L and M-B's M120 motors, as BMW has stopped production, and I cannot afford a Maybach) the V-8 does it in such an elegant, seamless, effortless way.
